Second Potions Class

Ben crumpled the note that the previous professor had left him. It was a quick scribbled note explaining what he had taught in his one and only lesson. There was no excuse for his sudden departure. Instead there was a messy sorry, put on the page as if it were a last moment thought. He sighed and tossed it into the wastebasket. This was his first job that he intended to stay on because this time he actually had a reason to. Catalina. He smiled at the thought of her. What better way to stay close to her? Sure their relationship was now incredibly forbidden, but that made it all the more exciting. His eyes darted back to the potion he was concocting. As it turned the right shade he was looking for, Ben grinned to himself. He still had it, now just to see if he could still teach.

Ben grinned and moved towards Catalina. "Oh I can take the risk." He laughed and dared to give her a quick kiss. "I'd love to get a few pointers. You're always welcome for some, tutoring." He winked mischeviously, moving away from her.

Ames walked into the Potions classroom. He recognized Catalina, but saw her entralled in the boy. Or is he the teacher? Ames thought quizzically. He shrugged then sat down toward the back of the classroom. He nodded at the boy who was already seated near the back in acknowledgement, but then passed him and sat several seats away.

Ames's face lit up when he saw Lux approach and then seat herself next to him. They were becoming good friends and Ames was thankful for that. "Hey, Lux," he said with a yawn.

Sirius slowly walked to class, and took his usual seat. He heated potions and he didn't really like the professor either, but he couldn't get any more detentions. So he sat in his seat and put his book on the desk.

Brooklyn walked into the classroom and sat down in an empty chair. She got her books out and ran a hand threw her hair.

Lily walked into potions and sat down next to Leighanna. "Hello." She said tiredly and got out her books. She laid her head down on her arm and wouldn't stop staring at her notebook.

Leighanna Lovegood wrote:

"Hey Lils."said Leighanna as she remained resting her chin on her hand and yawned slightly. "Man I'm so tired, I don't know why but being down here just makes me tired."said Leighanna as she looked at Lily and noticed she didn't take her eyes off her notebook. "Lils what's wrong, and don't tell me nothing because I know better!"said Leighanna calmly. As looked at Lily with worry in her eyes, she realized she haven't seen Lily or Krista her best friends in a while.

Lily shook her head. "Leigh, I'm fine really... just haven't been getting much sleep." She said and was thankful for putting up a silencing charm at night so Leighanna couldn't hear she was having nightmares. Lily had started writing her nightmares down in her notebook to keep record of one's that were the same and ones that were totally different.

Ben looked away from Catalina and saw that the class had begun to fill. He waited a few minutes before beginning. It seemed no one else was going to show up, Ben closed the door and returned to his position in the front of the class. "As you can tell your previous teacher has left on rather...sudden terms. I'm your new teacher for the rest of the year. Benjamin Kanst." His gray eyes scanned the room, taking in their scent, clothing, personality, everything. He held his gaze on Catalina a second longer before tearing his gazed back to the rest of the class. He thought about telling them that he was a vampire but he quickly decided against it. "I understand in your last class you made a forgetfulness potion. I think that's quite too simple though. Today we'll be making The Draught of Living Death. Anyone care to explain what this potion does?"

Kylar Deistra was late to Potions, which is why he had come rushing into the room. Entering, he stopped and looked around for anyone he would enjoy to sit near. It was then he saw Lux talking to another boy. Kylar walked over and sat down near her.

Sirius rolled his eyes and sighed quietly. Why in the world he had to choose than potion. Sirius hated it. And not to mention the last time when he tried to make it was a practise from the exams. Remus tried to help him, but the potions exploded and Remus' robe got caught on fire. That's why he hated that potion. He wrote a letter to Remus asking when are they going to meet to prepare their latest prank and he made the letter fly like a bird to Remus' desk.

Ben raised an eyebrow as a student ran in late. "Let's not make that a habit Mister Deistra." He turned his attention back to the class and let out a soft sigh. Great, exactly why did he volunteer for this again? His gaze landed on the woman that Catalina despised so much. Well this was interesting. "Yes, Miss Lovegood?"
