The Spring Dance

Catalina traipsed into the Great Hall, her long red dress sticking to her curves. It showed off a bit of cleavage, which had all of the guys staring. But, she didn't care about any of them. Her long brown hair was pulled into an elegant bun, and she had allowed a few choic ringlets to frame her face. Her lips were painted burgundy, the fullness luscious to anyone that laid their eyes upon her. Her eyes were shining brightly underneath the black eyeliner and thick mascara, allowing the sapphire to reveal itself more beautifully.

She pulled a boy that was close to her onto the dance floor and began to Waltz with him, looking around for Remus. He was her only friend, after all. Maybe she would be able to dance with him, and not cause a raucous with his girlfriend, the stupid Hufflepuff.

Leighanna walked into the Great Hall and smiled the
decorations looked great around the hall making it look like you were
in a field with flowers all around. Leighanna kept walking in as her
midnight dress dragged behind her as she walked as well as showing her
curves off. Her hair was pulled back in a elegant twist and she had
very little make up on for she believed in nature beauty but her lips
were glossy and her blue eyes were bright and filled with happiness. As
she looked around the Great Hall she didn't see Sirius or Krista or
Lily so she took a seat at the nearset table and waited for them to
show up.

Krista saw Leighanna and sat down by her. Her black and white dress wasn't as fancy as Leighanna's but she liked it. "Hey Leigh."

Catalina continued to dance with the random boy that was infatuated with her until her eyes fell on Krista and Leighanna. She knew that she should not cause trouble, so she would wait.

Now was not the time. She looked away again, growing bored with this boy. She spun him away and then started to mingle with an older Seventh Year. She didn't know his name, but didn't really care. She just wanted to dance.

Severus stepped in, wearing a simple but clean and well taken care of black dress robe. His hair was washed, and his face looked nice, as handsome as he could muster. His black eyes zoomed across the many faces, until he saw Catalina.

He shook his head at her dancing, and he caught her while she spun away from a Seventh Year Gryffindor he didn't know. "You should be careful, these men will think you're trying to do something with them."

Dancing with her for a moment, he looked around for Lily, but didn't see her. His black eyes found her friends, and he smiled in Catalina's direction before walking off towards them. "Hello, ladies," he said rather smugly. He didn't really like them, but he was going to be pleasant for Lily. "Have you seen Lils yet?"

Leighanna smiled as Krista said she got it correct. "Aw that's so cute, Severus had feelings for Lily for awhile I could tell, I talked to Lil about it and she told me that she only likes him as a friend though."said Leighanna.As she seen Severus coming towards them she bcame quiet. As he asked with Lily was at she shook her head. "No severus, I haven't seen Lil yet but I'm sure she'll be here soon!"said Leighanna as she gave him a friendly smile although she knew he didn't like her.

Severus nodded and then went to go grab a cup of punch while he waited. He didn't really want to hover around Lily's friends. He felt out of place to begin with anyway. After he got his punch, he stayed around the punch table, his black eyes glued to the door.

Leighanna watched as Severus walked over to the punch bowl. As she sighed her attention fixed on the door waiting for Sirius to come. "He'll be here Leigh just calm down!"Leighanna told herself as her eyes were still fixed on the door.

Lily walked into the dance shyly wearing a short red dress with a black bow, red heels that she would probably end up taking off, a red heart choker, a large red bangle bracelet on her left hand, another red bracelet on her right hand, and red hoops. She spotted Severus and walked over to him with a smile. "Hey Sev."

Severus had watched his Lilyflower walk toward him from the moment she stepped into the Great Hall. He saw no one else, for she was the only one in the room. Her emerald eyes were sparkling as his black orbs stared into them. He couldn't stop smiling as he stood there, unable to move.

Finally, he cleared his throat before bowing slightly and saying, "Lily, you look so beautiful." His pallid countenance erupted with redness as he blushed. "Not that you don't every day . . ."

Severus doubted she meant it like he meant it, but he continued to gaze at her with his black midnight eyes. He smiled after a moment of silence and then said, "Would you like to dance, Lils?" He held out his hand for her to take.

Brooklyn walked in wearing a long green dress and immediately was surrounded by seventh years. She shrugged and danced with a slytherin and looked rather bored.

Catalina saw Brooklyn step into the room, but did nothing to acknowledge her. She knew that the fellow Veela didn't really like her, so why try to make a friend if it was a hopeless cause?

Rolling her eyes, she saw Sirius, his handsomeness resonating throughout the room. But, she had Ben now. She didn't need these petty Gryffindors. Smiling to herself, she continued to dance with the Slytherin she was with, his brown eyes glued to her sapphire orbs.

It was actually getting a little obnoxious when a guy wasn't strong enough to hold a conversation with her.

Severus smiled warmly at Lily's hand in his and couldn't help but allow her to lead him onto the dance floor. A slow song came on rather suddenly, and he felt himself blushing instantly. Keeping his hands on her shoulders, he was careful not to make her feel uncomfortable. He saw men practically fornicating with women in public while they were merely dancing, and it made him angry. He would never treat a woman like that.

Not even his Lilyflower.

His black eyes glittered into hers, and he then placed one of his hands on her waist and then took one of her hands in his own, prepared to do the Tango or the Waltz. He smiled down at her genially.

Sirius gave her a soft kiss on the lips. "Thanks. You look amazing, by the way" he said with a grin. His head turned to Snape and Lily dancing and her frowned. "I can't believe she went with him".
